[OOC:] Character critique

I've been playing Raven for a couple of days, so far, and I thought now might be a good time to get some feedback on his characterization. Mostly so I can nip any problems down before they get entrenched in who he is, for me.

I'd appreciate it if you could let me know how you think I'm doing.

Thanks! I guess I'm nervous, because I'm playing him as a mish-mash of Ravens I've read about, with the actual Northwestern backstory in part, but also a lot of stuff I've made up.

Raven will brace himself for an attack of Ingress. *Oh, Neverwhere, how I love thee.*

I am not familiar enough with the legends, but I adore him. He is intriguing, and I'm sure vago would love to meet him sometime. He seems very blunt but observant from what I've seen. kind of refreshing that hes willing to approach people and just say whats wrong without only being sneaky about it.

I really like him -- and so does Bran. I love the way Raven doesn't think or speak like a human. He has an entirely alien worldview and persona, and it's fascinating.

Thanks! I'd hoped that Raven's not humanness was getting across, in more than the fact that he sometimes looks like a bird.

I'm not familiar with your canon at all but your pup his fascinating and highly amusing! (Again, I must apologize for my pup's lack of verbosity; it's *his* canon to be tight-lipped. oy)

Well, I think you're doing a fantastic job. And Random's having a great time, too. *snerk* OBVIOUSLY.
Raven's a great listener (especially for someone like my pup, who has NO ONE to listen to him, ever. It makes him feel rediculously special to have someone pay attention to him for once, being one of nine other princes.)
I wish I'd got a chance to hear the rest of the story the other day.

Random; I only start crying because, as we all know, when an Amberite'ss hurt, their emotions are out of balance.

And this, I'll have you know, is blatant Random-flirting. Which probably means that the rest of the world thinks he looks crazy. *Shrug*
I could have chosen a character with NORMAL human responses, but where'd the fun in that be?
*scowls at the grammar of that last sentence.*

Normal human responses are boring. I see them every day.

I don't know if Random's figured that bit out yet.
Random's all 'emotionally damaged beyond all belief.' Though he tries desperately to be normal. He's really proud of himself for keeping a friend this long, actually.
And I have to start wrapping soon.

If he pushes a lot more, he'll probably figure it out fast.

Raven is particularly difficult to drive off.

Wrap is fine. Random is fun!

Oh, he's going to be absolutely sick with embarassment next time they meet. (He probably will use the ripping thing, though it most likely won't work. Complicated canon-magic envolving thick steel, powerful and very old magic)
So expect an even more damaged Random (possibly not so hot on the 'trusting' thing, either. Though it's not Ravens fault. And crying. Lots of crying.
I'm not intentionally evil to my pup. This does have a basis in canon (which is why I can't use the 'tear' thing.)

Oh, it's great that you did. Again with the 'Random having a friend' novelty thing. The only other person he talks to is Asmodean, who would probably laugh his ass off if Random came to him in tears.
Or just nod and offer to play a song.
